Note on 2083 BS Astrological Calendar & Dashain Dates
In the Bikram Sambat year 2083, an Adhik Maas (Malmaas / अधिकमास) occurs from Jestha 3 to Jestha 31. Because this extra lunar intercalation pushes back later lunar months, the grand festivals of Bada Dashain and Tihar fall slightly later in the autumn calendar:
- Ghatasthapana: Ashwin 25, 2083 (October 11, 2026)
- Fulpati: Ashwin 31, 2083 (October 17, 2026)
- Vijaya Dashami (Tika): Kartik 4, 2083 (October 21, 2026)
- Laxmi Puja: Kartik 22, 2083 (November 08, 2026)
- Bhai Tika: Kartik 25, 2083 (November 11, 2026)
- Chhath Parva: Kartik 29, 2083 (November 15, 2026)
All tithis and festival dates are strictly cross-verified against the official astronomical calculations published by the Rashtriya Panchanga and Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Bikas Samiti.
